The Bowdoin College women's basketball team strengthened its hold on the #1 spot in the nation in Division III after beating nationally ranked Tufts 82-63 Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 12-0 with the win. Tufts takes its first loss after coming into the game at 12-0 and ranked #4 in the nation. Both schools play in the NESCAC.

Maddie Hasson led Bowdoin with 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting.

Erica DeCandido led the Jumbos with 20.

The Polar Bears take on the Husson Eagles at Newman Gymnasium Tuesday night at 7pm.
