The UMaine Black Bears had the nation's #1 team down 14-10 in the 2nd quarter but the James Madison University Dukes put the hammer down with three unanswered touchdowns and beat the Bears 28-10.

Maine falls to 1-2. The defending national champs from JMU (4-0) extend their winning streak to 15 games.

Josh Mack led the Black Bear offense with 144 rushing yards on 24 carries. He scored a TD.

Redshirt freshman QB Chris Ferguson was 20-for-41, 162 yards. He was intercepted three times.

For the Dukes, QB Bryan Schor was 21-for-31, good for 281 yards and he threw four TDs. Tailback Marcus Marshall ran for 135 yards. JMU had 472 yards of total offense. Maine had 299.

Now it is another bye week for the Black Bears. The game scheduled for next Saturday at the University of Central Florida got cancelled. Maine plays at Villanova in two weeks.
