After a 90 minute delay at the start of the night because of a power issue at Alfond Arena, #10 Minnesota-Duluth scored a goal 46 seconds into the game and went on to beat UMaine 2-1.

Riley Tuttle scored the goal for the nationally ranked Bulldogs.

It would stay 1-0 until mid-way through the third period when Maine's Eduards Tralmaks scored to even the game.

But Minn-Duluth scored 97 seconds later on a goal by Jade Miller and it proved to be the game winner.

Black Bear goalie Rob McGovern made 27 saves. Bulldogs goalie Hunter Shepard made 26.

UMaine falls to 2-3. UMD is now 3-2-2.

The second game of the weekend series at Alfond is tonight at 7:30pm.
