In a matchup of two top-20 nationally ranked college field hockey teams, #10 UAlbany beat #18 UMaine 3-1 and the two teams share first place in America East.

The loss for the Black Bears snaps an 8-game winning streak.

The Great Danes scored the first two goals before Cassidy Svetek got Maine on the board. Albany came back with a goal less than six minutes later to make it 3-1.

The Albany win means both teams are 5-1 in AE conference play. The Black Bears are 15-3 overall, the Great Danes are 14-2.

Maine began the week as the #18 ranked team in the nation. It will be interesting to see where voters will put the Bears for next week's poll.
