For the fourth time in his UMaine hockey career Joey Diamond has been named Hockey East Player of the Week. The senior winger was a big factor in the Black Bears getting 3 out of a possible 4 points in the standings over the weekend.

Friday night Diamond scored two goals in the third period to help get Maine a 2-2 tie with Providence.

Sunday afternoon he scored 2 goals and had an assist, including the game winner in overtime in Maine's 4-3 win over UMass-Lowell.

For the season, Diamond has 10 goals and 5 assists.

The Bears are now in 8th place in Hockey East with a weekend series in Vermont this weekend next on the schedule.
