Turns out this Boston Bruins split squad, one team in China and one team in the U.S. worked out okay for the B's.

Two preseason victories in a 24 hour period on two different continents.

Last night, one Bruins team beat the Washington Capitals 5-2. This morning, a second Bruins team beat Calgary 3-1 in China.

Combined the teams are 4-0 in exhibition play so far.

The Bruins squad playing state side is made up of many of the young, high draft picks. First round pick Zach Senyshyn had two goals and third round pick Jacub Lauko had a goal against the Caps.

The squad playing in China got two goals from rising star Jake DeBrusk in the win over Calgary.

There are four preseason games left on the schedule and starting this weekend all Bruins players get back together for more training camp.

The regular season opener is October 3rd.
