Former UMaine linebacker Christophe Mulumba-Tshimanga made his Canadian Football League debut for the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday night. His CFL team won a thriller over the BC Lions 30-27 on a last second field goal.

Mulumba was on the stat sheet with four tackles, all special teams plays.

NOTE: Two other UMaine connections to the CFL are former quarterback Dan Collins and former offensive coordinator Kevin Bourgoin...Collins has been assigned to the Ottawa RedBlacks practice squad. Three QBs were active in the Ottawa opener Friday night, a 31-31 overtime tie vs Calgary...Bourgoin is now the runningbacks coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Their opener is later this week.
