Finally...high school baseball and softball teams can play for regional titles today. Two games to be broadcast live on Sportsradio 92.9TheTicket include the Class C baseball matchup between Stearns HS and Bucksport HS. Plus, the Class A softball showdown between Bangor HS and Skowhegan HS.

The Stearns vs  Bucksport game will be played at Mahaney Diamond on the UMaine Orono campus with a 3PM first pitch. It features the #1 and #2 teams in Class C. Both the Minutemen and Golden Bucks finished the regular season 14-2 but did not play each other. Check out the action live on 92.9TheTicket and 929theticket.com

At 7PM we will broadcast live from Augusta as the Bangor softball team plays Skowhegan for the Class A eastern title.The Rams finished 10-6 and in the #7 spot then promptly knocked off Cony and Oxford HIlls. The Indians went 11-5, wound up in 4th place, then scored the upset over #1 Brewer in the semi-finals. Live play-by-play on 92.9TheTicket and 929theticket.com.

Other regional title games include Class B baseball - Winslow vs Waterville. The Class D game is Bangor Christian vs Southern Aroostook. The Class A is Messalonskee vs Oxford Hills.

On the softball side, Class B is Gardiner vs Oceanside, Class D is PVHS vs LCS/MSSM, and the Class C game is Bucksport vs Calais.
