Acadians Improve to 2-0

The Acadian Legion Baseball team improved to 2-0 on the young season, defeating Brewer last night, June 17th in Blue Hill, by a score of 4-0.

For the Acadians, Ben Walls pitched a shutout, going 7 innings, allowing 5 hits, and struck out 4.

Ben Walls had a double, Steven Mahon stroked two singles, and Jon Phelps, Jake Maguire and Stephen Hanscom all had singles for the Acadians.

The Acadians played small ball to score their four runs. Ben Eley scored on 2 stolen bases and 2 errors, Ben Walls scored after his double on a base hit from Jon Phelps. Conor Maguire bunted both Jon Phelps and Steven Mahon over to 2nd and 3rd where they both scored on Hanscom's hit.

For Brewer, Tony Bissell, Kyle Allen, Tyler Maguire, Chris Coleman, and John Stanhope all had singles
