The UMaine women's basketball tied for first place in America East with a 15-1 record but guard Sigi Koizar, Liz Wood and Bella Swann were the only Black Bears to pick up conference awards Friday night.

Koizar was named first team all-conference, Wood was second team and Swann was third team.

Wood was named to the all-defensive and all-academic team. Koizar was named all-academic as well.

Albany's Shereesha Richards won Player of the Year for the third straight year.

Binghamton coach Linda Cimino won Coach of the Year.

NOTE:  The Black Bears play at noon on Saturday vs UNH in the quarterfinal round of the AE playoffs.
