AE Hoops: Bears Win 6th Straight Game
Make it six straight America East wins for the UMaine women's basketball team and make it 17 wins for the season after a 58-45 victory at UMaryland Baltimore County on Saturday afternoon.
Blanca Millan with 14 points, Parise Rossignol with 12 and Fanny Wadling with 11 to lead the way.
The Black Bears did not shot well (35%) but scored 24 points off 29 UMBC turnovers and the Bears also scored 15 points from the foul line.
Put the Maine record at 10-1 in AE and 17-7 overall. Next on the schedule is Hartford on Wednesday night. The Hawks own the only win against the Bears in conference play.
UMBC drops to 1-9 and 8-17.
