Anderson Is KVAC Golf Medalist

Camden Hills High School senior Cole Anderson fired a 3-under par 69 to win medalist at the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference (KVAC) golf qualifier for this week's MPA State Championship.

KVAC TEAM QUALIFIERS FOR STATES:

Class A: Mt. Ararat (automatic bid via conference title); Camden Hills, Edward Little, Lewiston and Messalonskee

Class B: Medoma (automatic bid via conference title); Gardiner, Waterville, Erskine Academy and Maine Central Institute.

NOTE: The high school Individual Golf Championship is Saturday, October 13th at Natanis. Boys players had to shoot a score of 90 or better to get in. Girls had to shoot a 100 or better.

18 boys in Class A qualified for the state individual, 10 boys in Class B earned a spot. There were 8 girls who qualified for the Girls Individual Championship.
