Another Mainer Gets NBA Head Coaching Job
South Portland native Brett Brown will be named the new head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.Brown is the son of Bob Brown and has been an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs including the team that won the 2006-07 NBA Championship. Brown was also the head coach of the 2012 Australian Olympic team that finished 7th.
He joins Steve Clifford & Rick Carlisle as NBA head coaches with Maine ties.
