I'm in my 39th year of broadcasting on radio and television. Prior to joining 92.9 The Ticket in November 2012, I spent 16 years at WLBZ-TV (NBC Affiliate) in Bangor, Maine. My television experience included three years as a news reporter/anchor and 13 years as sports director/anchor. In 1993, I moved to WZON (AM620) in Bangor as sports/program director and created Maine’s first all-sports radio station. WZON was twice named Maine Associated Press Station of The Year. Along with my broadcasting duties, I am an adjunct instructor at the Husson University New England School of Communications in Bangor teaching Intro to Sports Journalism. I'm honored to have been named Maine Sportscaster of The Year six times, along with 13 AP Best Radio Sportscast awards, 12 AP/MAB Best Radio Play-by-Play awards, eight AP/MAB Best TV Play-by-Play awards and six AP/MAB Best TV Sportscast awards. My community volunteering includes president of Bangor East Little League, Senior League World Series opening ceremony committee chair, honorary member of the UMaine Black Bear Club, board of directors Maine Basketball Hall of Fame and member of the Jay Ramsdell Scholarship committee. I am from Houlton, Maine and a Ricker College graduate. My wife Nora and I reside in Bangor with our five children.
