The Bangor Senior League all star baseball team is back in the the Senior League World Series after getting past the Bronco League all stars 3-2. It is Bangor's first District #3 title since 2010.

The championship game was a scoreless affair until the 5th inning. Bronco pitcher Tommy Farrar and Bangor pitcher Trevor Delaite were dueling until Bronco broke on top scoring a run.

Bangor answered in the 6th, the key hit was a two out, two run double by Sam Huston to put his team ahead 2-1.

The Bangor team added what turned out to be a needed run in the 7th inning on an Andrew Elston two out hit, giving his team a 3-1 lead.

It was needed because Bronco scored one run in the bottom of the 7th and then left runners at first and third as Justin Courtney came on in relief of Delaite to get the final out and Bangor wins it 3-2.

Bangor will take a 4-0 record into the Senior League World Series. The international event begins with Bangor meeting Canada Sunday afternoon at noon.

Bangor head coach Barrett Dionne will be a guest on the Morning Pitch Show at 7:35AM this morning on Sportsradio 92.9 The Ticket.
