The Bangor Christian boys soccer team finished its regular season over the weekend with a 4-1 win at Machias. The Patriots finish 14-0 and will ride a 56-game winning streak into post-season play.

The Patriots have won every since losing a one goal game to Penquis Valley HS back in 2010. But what the team is really trying to do now is set high school boys soccer history by winning five straight state titles.

With a handful of games still  to be played in Class D, Bangor Christian trails (13-0-1) Easton for first place in the Heal Points by less than a point. Both teams have finished their 14-game schedule so now it will come down to help points to see which team goes into the playoffs #1.

It will make a difference - only the #1 seed gets a bye in Class D East. The #2 team will need to play a preliminary round playoff game.
