Bangor Coach Gerry Hodge Dies

Longtime Bangor High School football coach Gerry Hodge has died after a battle with cancer. He was 86.

Hodge was a player at Bangor and then at the University of Maine.

After starting his coaching career at Mexico HS, he returned to Bangor to take over the Rams football program in 1958 and led Bangor to two state championships (1973,1975) during his time as head coach from 1958 to 1975.
