A tough day at the ballpark for the Bangor Comrades Legion baseball team. An 11-1 loss to Milford, Massachusetts in day two of the Northeast Regional Tournament in Connecticut.

Starter Justin Courtney and three other Comrades pitchers threw a total of 7 wild pitches and gave up a dozen hits to Massachusetts. Courtney lasted 4 1/3 innings, giving up five runs on seven hits.

Meanwhile, Bangor could muster just 7 hits against winning pitcher Daniel Avery.

The game was stopped after seven innings because of the 10-run rule.

The Comrades(24-6) are now 1-1 in the regional and will meet Vermont this morning at 9:30pm.
