The historic Bangor Auditorium hosts Class A high school basketball for one last time Thursday night when Bangor plays Brewer in a boys-girls doubleheader.

92.9 The Ticket and will provide live coverage with the girls game starting at 5:30 and the boys match-up at 7 p.m.

After 57 years of hoops and other events, the Auditorium will be torn down later this year. The new Cross Insurance Center will open in the fall.

For the Bangor and Brewer basketball teams the games mark the end of the regular season and all four teams have much at stake.

The Bangor girls could finish as high as No. 2 in the Heal Points with a win. The Brewer could finish as high as No. 7 or at last guarantee a home play-in game with a win.

The Bangor boys could move to No. 4 with a win. The Brewer boys probably need to win just to make it into a play-in game.

By the way, the Eastern Maine Class B, C and D tournament begins Friday, February 15th at Bangor Auditorium. 92.9TheTicket and will have continuous live coverage from the Auditorium as well as live coverage from the Class A tournament at Augusta Civic Center.
