Cross river rivals meet tonight at Mansfield Stadium as the Bangor Rams play the Brewer Witches for the Class A Eastern Maine Championship. Both teams enter the game red hot as the Rams have won 11 straight games while the Witches are winners of 8 of their last 9 games. The only loss during that stretch was a one run loss to Bangor who swept the regular season series.

Jeff Fahey's Rams beat Brunswick and Messalonskee to get into this title game and are playing their best ball of the season. Bangor is averaging 7 runs per game led by the hitting of Andrew Hillier and Trevor Delaite.

Brewer is coming off a no-hitter thrown by junior Matt Pushard in the semifinal win over Mt. Blue. Pushard is also the leading hitter for the Witches who also get key contributions from shortstop Logan Rogerson.

Because the semifinals were played four days ago, both teams have al of their pitchers available for tonight's match-up.

First pitch is at 7:30 live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and online at 929theticket.com.
