The Husson Eagles will have to beat Baruch College (NY) twice on Sunday if they want to get a NCAA Tourney bid. The Bearcats came to the Winkin Complex Saturday afternoon at beat the Eagles 5-3 in the first game of a best-of-three series.

Baruch won the City University of New York Athletic Conference championship. Husson is North Atlantic Conference champ and this series determines who gets the NCAA automatic bid.

Husson scored an unearned run in the 4th inning to take a 1-0 lead but the Bearcats answered with four runs in the top of the 5th. They added another run in the 7th inning.

The Eagles closed the gap with a Brandon Smith RBI double in the 8th and a David LeBlanc sac fly in the 9th.

Game two in the series is Sunday morning at 11am.
