The Ellsworth Eagles baseball team and the Brewer Witches softball team will enter the postseason as #1 seeds in Class B as the Maine Principals' Association (MPA) has finalized the Heal Points.

Everyone agrees it was one of the most difficult seasons to play outdoors because of the weather but the Eagles went 15-1 and racked up 200 Heal Points. No baseball team in any class in the North Region garnered more Heal Points.

Ellsworth won all of its Class B games and the one loss was to top seed in Class C, George Stevens Academy.

The Oxford Hills Vikings in Class A finished with the only 16-0 mark in the North Region and will be the #1 seed.

Along with Ellsworth, GSA and Oxford Hills, the Central Aroostook Panthers from Mars Hill is the top seed in Class D.

On the softball side, the defending state champion Brewer Witches had their long winning streak snapped but the 14-2 finish nets them the #1 seed in Class B North.

Old Town and Hermon are locked in right behind the Witches.

Skowhegan is the only softball team that finished the spring unbeaten and the 16-0 Indians are tops in Class A.

Bucksport beat out Narraguagus by about six Heal points for the top spot in Class C.

The Katahdin Cougars hold down the #1 seed in Class D.
