A return to the Boston Garden after a winless west coast trip proved to be a good thing for the Boston Celtics as they beat the Atlanta Hawks 115-104.The Celtics played shorthanded with Jared Sullinger, Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk all out of the lineup with injuries. Jerryd Bayless helped pick up the slack scoring a season high 29 points leading six players in double figures. Rajon Rondo added a double-double with 22 points and 11 assistswhile Jeff Green had 17 points and 8 boards.

The homestand continues Saturday when the green take on the Indiana Pacers.

After the game Rondo spoke with the media about the game and briefly about the situation that involved him not traveling with the team from Los Angeles to Sacramento on their recent trip so he could celebrate his birthday.
