The first ever Christmas Day game at home for the Boston Celtics didn't turn out so well. The Washington Wizards came to the Boston Garden and beat the C's 111-103.

The Wiz backcourt duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal outscored Boston's backcourt of Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown 46-28.

The Celtics had a five point lead with about six minutes left in the game but Washington went on a 12-0 run to take control of the game.

It was the first meeting between the two teams since the Celtics won a seven game playoffs series last spring 4-3.

The loss is the Celtics third in their last four games. They drop to 27-10.

The Wizards are 19-15.
