The UMaine baseball losing skid has now reached 10 straight games after New York Institute of Technology came to Mahaney Diamond Friday afternoon and swept the Black Bears.

Game 1:  Maine lost 9-4 but actually outhit NYIT 15-13. It was a scoreless game for the first four innings but then NYIT scored nine times in the next five innings. The Bears used four pitchers, all gave up at least one run. Colin Ridley led the Bears in hitting with three hits and a RBI.

Game 2: Maine was leading 2-0 in the seven inning game through five innings but NYIT scored one run in the sixth and three more in the seventh inning. The Bears managed just five hits.

With the two losses, Maine has lost 10 in a row, 14 out of the last 15 and fall to 5-22. NYIT is 13-15.

Another doubleheader set for Mahaney Diamond starting at 1pm.
