The UMaine hockey team spotted BU a goal and then scored the next three on the way to a 5-2 over the Terriers at Alfond Arena Friday night.

Freshman goalie Jeremy Swayman stopped 40 shots while five different players scored goals.

Brady Keeper, Canon Pieper, Brendan Robbins gave Maine that 3-1 lead.

After the Terriers cut it to 3-2, Patrick Holway and Patrick Shea scored 3rd period goals to give the Black Bears a cushion.

Maine is now 3-2 in Hockey East (4-5 overall). BU drops to 3-4-1 (5-7-1 overall).

Tonight the Bears and Terriers play the second game of the series in Portland.
