A long day of baseball at the America East Tourney ended in happiness for the UMaine Black Bears. An 11th inning walk off 2-1 win for the Bears over Hartford keeps them playing in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Starting pitcher Justin Courtney was brilliant through the first eight innings, giving up just one run on four hits. He struck out eight and left the game with it tied 1-1.

Jeff Gelinas pitched the final three innings to get the win.

Schwanz drove in both runs.

Earlier in the day, Maine lost to Albany 3-0, throwing the Bears into the elimination game.

They play today at 4pm with the opponent to be determined by game results earlier in the day.
