The UMaine women's basketball team will play in the America East Conference championship game and it will be played at the Cross Center in Bangor. The Black Bears beat New Hampshire 64-48 in the semi-final round Sunday afternoon in Portland.

The Black Bears led wire to wire against the Wildcats to pick up win #22 (22-9) and the right to host the final next Friday at 4pm in Bangor.

Blanca Millan led Maine with 16 points and Tanesha Sutton added 14. Parise Rossignol scored 13 off the bench.

The Black Bears shot 45% from the field while UNH shot just 29%.

UPDATE: #6 seed Hartford has knocked off #2 Albany 58-56 in the other semi-final. The Hawks will be Maine's opponent in the title game. The winner of the AE championship gets the league automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
