Beltre’s Walkoff Wins It

rangers2 Former Red Sox Adrian Beltre’s walkoff rbi single gave the Rangers a 4-2nwin and a sweep of the weekend series.
Jon Lester and Yu Darvish were locked in a pitching duel that saw Lester go 6 innings allowing 3 runs while striking out 7. Darvish struck out 14 over 7 innings of work in which he threw 127 pitches.

With 2 out and 2 on in the bottom of the 9th Adrian Beltre singled to right pushing in the game winning run off Clay Mortensen. Its the first time Boston has been swept this season.

The Sox return to Fenway to start a series with the Twins on Monday.
