Former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop has been nothing short of spectacular for the Tampa Bay Lightning but is now battling a right wrist sprain injury. Bishop has missed the last three games and will serve as a backup for tonight's game.

There is a chance he will play Tuesday night against the NY Rangers.

Bishop has a 22-5-3 record and a 1.86 GAA for Tampa Bay. His .935 save percentage is best in the NHL (Tuukka Rask .930%). His goals against average is second best in the league.

Some around the NHL thought he might be one of the three goalies selected for the USA Olympic team but he was not picked.

Bishop and his Lightning team is just two points behind the Bruins in the Atlantic Division.
