Benintendi Two HRs In 2nd Game With Drive [VIDEO]
Hall of Fame writer Peter Gammons says the Red Sox Single-A Greenville Drive is 'the best prospect team in baseball' and with newly added CF Andrew Benindenti the team has added to that title.
Benintendi was picked #7 overall in the June draft out of the University of Arkansas. He blew through rookie league Lowell Spinners and was promoted to Greenville this week. In his second game, Benintendi ripped two home runs and drove in three runs.
In the same game Wednesday night, young Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada had two more hits and two more stolen bases. He is hitting .292/7/33 in 67 games with 39 steals.
The Drive roster also includes 2014 1st round draft pick Michael Chavis and highly touted 3B Rafael Devers.
