Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is a finalist for a second major award in the NHL - this one is called the Foundation Player Award. Each year the NHL honors one player for their community service work.

Bergeron is already a finalist for the Selke Award for best defensive foward.

The three finalists for the Foundation Award are Bergeron, Chicago's Duncan Keith and San Jose's Brent Burns. The winner is announced during the league awards night in June. The winning player will get $25,000 donated to a chosen charitable organization.

Bergeron's  charity work around Boston includes "Patrice's Pals" where kids from various non-profit groups get to attend Bruins games and meet players after the game.
