The Boston Red Sox pounded out another 15 hits and emergency starter Brian Johnson was just good enough as the Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-7. The Sox improve to 9-5 on the young season.

Mookie Betts had three hits, including his first home run of the year. Mitch Moreland remains red hot, three more hits and three RBI. Pablo Sandoval had three hits and a RBI.

On the mound, Johnson pitched five innngs and gave four runs on seven hits and three walks. He picked up his first major league win.

Matt Barnes made things interesting in the 9th inning in a non-save situation, giving up three runs but did close the deal.

The Sox have won four in a row and five of their last six.
