Big Z Returns To B’s Practice

A welcome sight at Boston Bruins practice today - captain Zdeno Chara. And, it comes as the Bruins get ready for their season opener Thursday night.

Chara left a preseason game back on September 24th with what the team called 'an upper body injury'. He has skated some on his own but today was the first time back with teammates.

The B's open Thursday night against the Winnipeg Jets, followed by games against Montreal and Tampa Bay.

NOTES:  Other rosters moves by the B's...Veteran forward Max Talbot and goalie Jeremy Smith cleared waivers. Smith was sent to Providence in the AHL. It is unclear what happens to Talbot.
