Former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop has agreed to a six-year contract with the Dallas Stars, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN.

According to the report, the deal will be for $29.5 million over the duration of the contract.  Bishop was set to enter free agency this off-season before the new contract.

Last season Bishop posted an 18-15-5 record with a 2.54 goal against average during his time with LA and Tampa Bay.  Bishop is currently joined by Kari Lehtonen and Antti Niemi as goalies on the roster with Dallas.
