Black Bears Win Their AE Series

A big Sunday win for the UMaine baseball team, 6-1 over Binghamton. That means the Black Bears take the three game series.two games to one.

Maine now owns the head-to-head tiebreaker for the America East playoffs.

Cody Lawyerson pitched the first 5.1 innings, giving up an unearned run, five hits and no walks.

On offense, the  Bears big inning was the 3rd, scoring four times. The big hit was a two-run home run by Jonathan Bennett.

The Black Bears improve to 8-10 AE (14-29 overall). The Bearcats are now 8-13 and 14-27.

Maine has two conference series left - one at UAlbany and one at home vs Hartford.
