The UMaine Black Bears left no doubt who's best in the CAA. A 41-0 shutout over Rhode Island gives Maine the conference championship and the automatic NCAA playoff bid that comes with it. The Bears have an overall record of 10-1 with a game at UNH left on the schedule.

At Alfond Stadium in Orono the Black Bears scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and then scored 17 more points in the second quarter to lead 28-0 at the half.

Ricky Stevens rushed for 127 yards and 2 TD's, one was a 90 yard run.
