Bob Corkum Coaches USA Select Team To Semi-FInals

Former UMaine hockey coach Bob Corkum has his USA Under-18 Select Team in the semi-final round of the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament being played in the Czech Repulblic and Slovakia.

Corkum's USA squad is the #1 seed in its pool after wins over the Czech, Russia and Slovakia. The only loss came in overtime to Finland.

The semi-final round is Friday and the championship game is Saturday.

The Under-18 Select team is made up of many high school and prep school players, as well as junior hockey players. Many of the players are headed to college hockey.
