Bodine Hits 6 3-Pointers

The University of Maine basketball teams earned a split with UMass Lowell on Thursday with the women getting a 75-66 win and the men losing 74-62.In the women's game, Lauren Bodine drilled 6 3-pointers to lead the Bears with 20 points and fall short of tying the the school record for 3's in a game. Cherrish Wallace and Ashleigh Roberts also scored in double figures getting 18 points each. Maine returns to the Cross Center on Sunday to play Stony Brook with an overall record of 10-9 and a conference record of 4-2.

The UMaine men lost at home to Lowell 74-62 dropping them to 3-15 and 1-5 in America East. The Bears shot just 4-21 beyond the arch and were out rebounded by 12. Xavier Pollard led Maine with 15 points off the bench. Kilian Cato had 14 points but the other four starters combined to score just 7 points. Next up is two road games with a Sunday match-up at Stoney Brook followed by a stop at New Hampshire on Wednesday.
