Body of Missing Stonington Man Located

The Warden Service reports the body of a missing man was found in the woods in Stonington. The 71-year-old is believed to have suffered a medical event.

A search was launched last night when Bruce Greenlaw of Deer Isle failed to return from a trip into the woods to check on some machinery. He was last seen walking into the forest on Park Road in Stonington at around 3:30 Monday afternoon.

Greenlaw was found at around 5:40 Tuesday morning. Game Wardens say it appears he suffered a medical event.

Participating in the search were the Maine Warden Service, Maine Association for Search and Rescue Dogs (MESARD), Stonington Fire Department, and Hancock County Sheriff's office.
