The Red Sox have 6 of the top 100 prospects in Major League Baseball according to the new MLB.com Top 100 list. 20-year-old shortstop Xander Bogaerts heads the Sox list as the #20 prospect in baseball.

Bogaerts is expected to start the season in double-A with the Portland Seadogs along with the #32 best prospect, CF Jackie Bradley Jr and the #38 prospect Matt Barnes, a righthanded pitcher.

The three other prospects for the Sox in the Top 100 list - #71 Allen Webster/RHP, #94 Henry Owens/LHP, #96 Jose Iglsias/SS.

Texas Rangers minor league SS Jurickson Profar is baseball's #1 prospect.
