The Boston Bruins allowed two powerplay goals, lose to the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 and along with it their lead in the Atlantic Division. The first period ended with the teams tied at two goals apiece before the Leafs scored the next two goals on powerplay goals by Tyler Bozak and Jake Gardiner putting them up 4-2 in the third period. Greg Campbell closed the gap when he fired the puck past Jonathan Bernier for his third goal of the season but that would be the end of the scoring and the Bruins take their 15th loss of the season. The loss drops the Bruins into a first place tie in the Atlantic division with Tampa Bay who picked up a win over the Islanders thanks to a 34 save performance by former UMaine Black Bear Ben Bishop. Boston now goes on the road for games in Dallas followed by a Stanley Cup rematch in Chicago against the Blackhawks.
