The Winter Classic in Foxborough certainly lived up to the hype, that is except for the play of the Boston Bruins who were dominated by Montreal in a 5-1 loss.

The Canadiens controlled the play and limited the Bruins scoring chances while grabbing a 3-0 lead after the first two periods of play.

Paul Byron who was claimed off waivers just a month ago led Montreal with two goals while Max Pacioretty added a goal and an assist.

Mike Condon who grew up just minutes from Gillette Stadium stopped 27 shots to get the win in goal for Montreal. Tuukka Rask allowed the 5 goals on 30 shots for his 10th loss of the season.

Boston is now 1-1 hosting the Winter Classic. They now head back inside for a game against the Capitals on Tuesday.
