Bouchard Powers Black Bears Into Playoffs

UMaine softball is moving on to the America East tournament after clinching a spot in a double-header split with Binghamton Friday afternoon.Janelle Bouchard ripped a 3-run homerun in the 9-0 game one win over the Bearcats. Emj Fogel added 2 hits and an rbi to help lead a Maine team that racked up 12 hits.

Alexis Bogdanovich improved to 16-4 after going the distance allowing just 4 hits and striking out 7.

Maine dropped the second game 5-4 in the bottom of the 10th inning and will close out the regular season with a single game against the Binghamton.
