Boston Bruins v New York RangersThe Boston Bruins have waived forward Chris Bourque as they work to improve production on the third line.In 18 games this season Bourque has just one goal and three assists playing along side Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley.

Any team in the league can put a claim on him and have until noon Friday to do so. If not, the Bruins can take him back and assign him to Providence.

Bourque played his freshman year in college at Boston University and is the son of Bruins Hall of Famer Ray Bourque.
