The New England Patriots started training camp today although at times it was anything but the normal mid-summer practice.Pats fans filled all the seats in the practice facility and let out a large roar in the form of a standing ovation as maligned quarterback Tom Brady walked onto the field for the first time. This was the first Brady sighting since the team captain reported to camp on Monday. It was also a day after he responded to the NFL's decision to uphold his 4-game suspension.

Later in practice a plane flew over the facility with a banner in tow that read "CHEATERS LOOK UP." The flyover was orchestrated and paid for by a New York Jets fan website and circled over the field twice....slowly.

In case you were wondering if Brady or Jimmy Garoppolo would take the bulk of the snaps with the first unit in camp....Brady took the first snap and ran the first series. He also caught a touchdown pass form Julian Edelman on a halfback option pass.
