The next step in the Tom Brady "deflategate" controversy should be a good one as Brady goes head-to-head with Commissioner Roger Goodell next Wednesday. U.S. District Judge Richard Berman had set the date for both parties to appear in court with a goal of trying to proceed with the goal of reaching a settlement before a trial would be needed. Dan Graziano of ESPN is reporting that Brady will appear in person despite reports that he would try to participate over the phone.

One issue that needs to be determined is whether the transcripts of the Brady appeal hearing will be submitted sealed or unsealed documents are . If the documents are unsealed the general public will be able to gain a clear view of what was said and debated in the appeal including the facts surrounding the cell phone that the NFL revealed was destroyed by Brady.
