Until big Vince Wilfork picked off a pass with less than a minute to go, New England Patriots fans could not rest easy. His play sealed a 16-9 anything-but-pretty win over the Oakland Raiders.

The Patriots had a 10-3 lead at the half, only to see the Raiders kick two 3rd quarter field goals to make it 10-9.

The Pats offense could manage just two field goals down the stretch and held on for the 16-9 victory. After the game quarterback Tom Brady talked about the need to get more points on the board after scoring just one touchdown in four red zone possessions.

Patriots are now 2-1. The Raiders remain winless at 0-3.
