Bangor defeated rival Brewer 3-0 on the soccer pitch Tuesday night. But most players and fans will remember the pre-game ceremony honoring the late Dave Patterson, the Bangor coach who passed away from cancer earlier in the year.

All Brewer players wore warmup tee-shirts with the name "Patterson" on the back and just before the game, one by one, took those shirts off a gave them to Bangor players.

Money was raised through donations and a 50-50 raffle to go to a scholarship fund.

Dave Patterson's wife, Lori, and son Jack were introduced to the crowd.

As for the game, the Rams scored a first half goal and then added two late goals to win 3-0.

Bangor is now 6-0-2. Brewer is 2-5-1.
