Brewer Vs Lawrence On 92.9 The Ticket

High school football playoffs begin tonight around the state and Doyle field will be the site of a class B match-up between Brewer and Lawrence.This will be a re-match of last years quarterfinal except that they changed positions in the standings as Brewer will be the #3 seed and Lawrence the #6 seed. The Bulldogs took last years playoff meeting 34-14 and the teams did not play in the regular season this year.

The 7-1 Witches come in averaging 34 points per game and are led by senior tailback Dylan Severance who has racked up 1,003 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Quarterback Logan Rogerson can get the job done with his legs and arms. Rogerson has thrown for 595 yards and rushed for another 48 yards with a combined 12 touchdowns.

John Hersom's Lawrence team lost their first 4 games of the season with each of those losses coming against teams that finished the season in the top 5 of the standings. They turned things around and got the final spot in the playoffs by winning their final 4 games while outscoring their opponents 90-57.
